Cooked Cracked Wheat Cereal

You can add honey and milk and eat cracked wheat cereal for breakfast, or you can use it when making delicious seafood salad. or in your homemade chili.

Ingredients:

  • 1¾ c. water

  • 1 cup cracked wheat

Boil water in pan. Add wheat and bring to boil. Remove from heat and cover. Let it sit for 30 minutes until water is absorbed or simmer for 20 minutes. (Vitamins and flavor are retained when foods are not boiled.)

Freeze in 2 cup portions in Ziploc bags for easy use later.
