The only thing you need to do is file away your newspaper inserts. GrocerySmarts will list which coupons you need to use. Right before you go shopping is the time to go to your coupon file. Only clip the coupons that you’re going to take to the grocery store. These awesome coupon tools make using coupons a breeze.

Let’s take a look at GrocerySmarts. Most of this is pretty self-explanatory. But if you’re new to couponing, a quick tour of these coupon tools will help you know what to look for when you’re on the website.

Bookmark GrocerySmarts.com so that it’s easy to find again.

On the home page it asks you to enter a passport. Here's a passport number that you can use: g84sjw

Then you’ll be asked to select your state.

Now select your store. Look around and find stores that are in your area.

    GrocerySmarts Screen 2

Now you’re going to see 3, 4, & 5 Star Deals. You’ll even find great deals on products where you don’t need a coupon.

You’re not really interested in the 3 star deals. Occasionally, you’ll use some of the 4 Star Deals. But it's the 5 Start Deals that give you the super savings.

If you shrink your screen you’ll only see the 4 & 5 Star Deals.

    • Step 1 Select your store if it isn’t already selected
    • Step 2 Click on the start button
    • Step 3 Click on the red stock up star
    • Step 4 Click on the shrink button

Now your screen should look like this. You’ll only see the 4& 5 Star Deals.

This is letting you know that there is an in-store promotion. This Add Up the Savings Promo saves you $4 when you buy any combination of 8 participating items. Everything below this point is on the participating items list. Make sure you buy 8,16, 24 . . . items so you can take full advantage of this offer.

    GrocerySmarts Screen 5

This is an in-store Catalina Coupon. You can use this in conjunction with your Add Up the Savings Promo. This particular promo gives you a $3.50 voucher when you buy 5 or more Nature Valley Products.

If you want to buy 10 or 15 of this name brand, you’ll need to run three separate orders through at the cash register. The stores don’t mind especially if you catch them during the middle of the day when they’re not busy. The neat part about this is you can use your grocery voucher from your first order to pay for you second order.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the list, all the Catalina Coupons are listed. This is where you find the hot deals. This is one of your coupon tools that will help you decide what to stock up on. Go for the biggest sales. Make sure you're buying items that your family would normally use.

What's neat is that you can stack your sale price, add up savings, Catalina, and manufacturer's coupon to get a super deal.

Now let’s look at how to read the information using these online coupon tools.

    1. The first number is the sale price/second number is the price if you’re using the add up the savings promo. Just make sure you buy in increments of eight, and the it will automatically come off at the register.
    2. This is the bottom line price if you use all the promotions and coupons available.
    3. Go to the Smart Source July 11th coupon insert to find this coupon. If you’re getting four newspapers, you’ll clip four coupons.
    4. Go to the General Mill August 8th coupon insert to find this coupon. Again remember to clip all four coupons.
    5. Groups A, B, & C are printable coupons. The good coupons go fast, but take a look, and see if you can use any of these printable coupons. This is another reason why I love my newspaper inserts. I know they’ll be there when I go to look for them.
    6. (.75/2) means you’ll get $0.75 off when you buy two
    7. ($1/1) means you’ll get $1 off when you buy one
    8. This is the expiration date of the listed coupon. Use the oldest coupons first.

    3. Shrink the List
    4. Print the List
    5. Off to the side, write down how many of each item you'd like buy. This way you don't have to think about it at the grocery store. When you go to the store, only bring the coupons that you're going to use.
