Step 1 Takes 5 MinutesEach week take all the coupon inserts out of your Sunday paper. File them away in a simple file box.Here's a quick and easy way to create a coupon filing system. Use a hanging file folder for each month. Don’t write anything on these folders so that you can reuse them. You only need 5 hanging file folders, because you only need to keep the coupons for five months. Most coupons expire after 2-3 months. There’s no reason to keep expired coupons. Put 4-5 manila folders in each hanging folder. Label these Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4. Sometimes you’ll have a Week 5. By not putting the specific date on the folders, you can use them over and over again. Write the Date on the top insert. You can label all of them, but there’s no need since you’re going to keep them together. It just takes extra time.
