Read on . . .

The idea of saving money by using coupons is appealing to almost everyone. But who wants to make it a full-time job? Almost nobody.

3 Steps - Only 30 Minutes a Week

Simple Coupon Filing System

Step 1 Takes 5 Minutes

Each week take all the coupon inserts out of your Sunday paper. File them away in a simple file box.

Here's a quick and easy way to create a coupon filing system.

Use a hanging file folder for each month. Don’t write anything on these folders so that you can reuse them.

You only need 5 hanging file folders, because you only need to keep the coupons for five months. Most coupons expire after 2-3 months. There’s no reason to keep expired coupons.

Put 4-5 manila folders in each hanging folder. Label these Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4. Sometimes you’ll have a Week 5. By not putting the specific date on the folders, you can use them over and over again.

Write the Date on the top insert. You can label all of them, but there’s no need since you’re going to keep them together. It just takes extra time.

Building a Shopping List Takes 10 Minutes

Go to GrocerySmarts.com (Passport Code g84sjw) to build your weekly shopping list. Every week the website is updated. Most of the new sales are listed on Wednesday morning.

  1. Click on the start button. Select those items that you'd like to buy at the grocery store.
  2. Shrink the List
  3. Print the List
  4. Off to the side, write down how many of each item you'd like buy. This way you don't have to think about it at the grocery store. When you go to the store, only bring the coupons that you're going to use.

Clipping Your Coupons Takes 15 Minutes

Now that you’ve selected the coupons you want to use, it’s time to clip them. Grab your coupon file and take a seat.

The neat part about this coupon filing system is that you only clip the coupons you’re taking to the grocery store.

Coupon Pouch

When you go to the grocery store, you know exactly what you’re going to buy. You don’t have to carry around some bulky binder or complicated coupon file. All you need to take to the store is your list and your little envelope of coupons.

This is a simple, proven method that saves you time and money on your grocery bill!

When you first start using this couponing system, it will take you longer than 30 minutes. It doesn't take long to get the hang of things. Be patient with yourself and have fun.
