Wheat Berry Recipe

Add honey and milk to this wheat berry recipe, and you have a nutritious, delicious breakfast. You can also use wheat berries in other recipes as a meat substitute. See Wheat Meat Patties.

There are two different methods you can use when making wheat berries.

One cup of wheat makes 4-6 servings.

Thermos Method

1 cup whole wheat
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups boiling water

Pour boiling water over wheat in a quart-size thermos

Screw the top on lightly and leave overnight.

Crock Pot Method

1 cup whole wheat
½ teaspoon salt
2 ½ cups water

Simmer on low 6-8 hours overnight.
