Shopping Trip August 18, 2010

Shopping Trip August 18, 2010 FREE Products - 4 Deodorant & 4 Toothpaste August 18, 2010 Receipts

Back to the grocery store for new deals. This week I saved $171.14 and spent $96.86 -- 114 items in all. That's an average of $0.85 an item. Let's see what was on the grocery list.

Price That I Paid:
$0.88 - 4 Dannon Activia (4 count)
$1.00 - 29 Kroger Peanut Butter (18 0z)
FREE - 4 Colgate Toothpaste (6.4 oz)
FREE - 4 Right Guard Deodorant (2.8 oz)
$0.50 - 1 Suave Deodorant (1.4 oz)
$0.64 - 10 Betty Crocker Fruit Roll Ups (10 pack)
$0.64 - 16 Hamburger/Chicken/Tuna Helper
$0.79 - 4 Fiber One Chewy Bars (6 Bars)
$0.91 - 6 Nature Valley Granola (6 Bars)
$1.15 - 16 General Mills Cereal
$0.75 - 16 Progresso Traditional Soup (18.5 oz)
$0.53 - 4 Sunny Delight (64 oz)

The Hottest Deal this week was on Colgate Toothpaste and Right Guard Deodorant.

Right Guard Deodorant:
Regular Price - $2.40
10 for $10 Sale - Save $1.40
Manufacturer Coupon - Save $1.00
Bottom Line - FREE

Colgate Toothpaste:
Regular Price - $2.19
10 for $10 Sale - Save $1.19
Manufacturer Coupon - Save $1.00
Bottom Line - FREE

The reason I separated the receipt is because I wanted to take advantage of the Catalina on the Fruit Roll Ups and Nature Valley/Fiber One Granola. I put 5 Fruit Roll Ups and 5 Granola Bars on the first receipt. I also added in 6 boxes of cereal so that I could take advantage of the Add Up the Savings Promo (buy in groups of 8, 16, 24, etc.)

I put the 5 more Fruit Roll Ups and 5 more Granola Bars on the second receipt. I put the rest of the groceries on this second receipt. I used the voucher from the first group of groceries toward the second group.

When items are on sale for 10 for $10 and you have a $1 off Manufacturer Coupon, do you need 10 coupons or can you use the 1 for all 10?

Answer: You'll need to use 10 Manufacturer Coupons.
