Lentil Homemade Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 1 Tablespoon oil

  • 2-3 cloves garlic

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 3 chopped carrots

  • 3 ounces tomato sauce

  • ½ pound lentils

  • salt to taste

Pour approximately ½ pound of lentils into a soup pan. Remove and discard rocks etc.

Fill pan with cold water one inch over the lentils. Bring to a boil and discard the water.

Fill the pan with water three inches over the lentils. Add chopped onion, minced garlic cloves, chopped carrots, bay leaves, olive oil, and tomato sauce. Salt to taste.

Cook approximately 15 minutes.
