Cheese Sauce

by Kim Wengreen

1/2 c. cheese powder
1/2 t. dried onion (optional)
3/4 c. boiling water

Mix cheese powder, onion, and boiling water; blend until smooth. Add salt if desired.

If a thinner sauce is desired, add more water. Great as a sauce for broccoli, cauliflower, etc.

Hint: When mixing powdered items, if you use a small amount of water to make a paste out of the powder and then gradually add the rest of the water, you will avoid lumps and maintain a smoother consistency.
