Old Fashioned Christmas Story

This old fashioned Christmas story will leave you in tears and help you focus on what matters most this Christmas season. The Cedar Post Christmas is a true story based on the Chapman's Christmas of 1912 in Topaz, Idaho. This delightful story is sure to become one of your favorite Christmas stories.

George and Nellie worked hard on their homestead, but there was little money for the necessities, let alone the luxury of a doll that would open and shut her eyes. George's labored with love to earn a little money for Christmas gifts. Nellie remembered those who were less fortunate than them. Mr. Monson's was generous. There are many examples of courage, thrift, hard work, generosity, and kindness. But what happened between Leona and little Emerald makes this a story you'll read again and again.

Here's page two and three from the book.

Cedar Post Christmas

December 13, 2018, Tracie Lockhart

It was such a sweet story made even better because it is true. It helped to give me pause and think of the many blessings we have and enjoy everyday, and that we need to show gratitude for them. It was nice to read about the love of a family, no matter what comes along. I recently lost my son whom I love so very much. It is nice to have comfort in the fact he knows of this love, I have no regrets. This family also showed unconditional love to the little son who passed away some time later. Love of family is our greatest treasure.

Remembering the true meaning of Christmas.

I was given this book as a Christmas present from a student. It is a beautifully written story about a family who was experiencing hard times around the Christmas season. It was a good reminder to me of what this Christmas season is about. Giving to others and loving everyone. The pictures are very well done in this book.

BEAUTIFUL book and tender story!

December 10, 2018, John

This book really does share the true meaning of Christmas. It helps us all remember to be grateful for what we do have, how to give meaningful service and gifts, and helps us remember that nothing is more important than the people around us, especially our families. The ending is very touching and brought tears to our eyes. This will definitely be a Christmas classic at our home.

True Meaning of Christmas

November 29, 2018, Jennifer

With all the buying and selling that goes on at Christmas, this story helps our family remember what Christmas is all about. Love, sharing, and relationships are key. This is a true story of a family who learned that little brothers are more important than gifts bought with money! The story has many examples of people giving and sharing even when they didn't have much to give. The last page pulls hard at my heart strings. It makes me think about how I treat my family and friends and what's most important in life. Children and adults will both love this story. Beautifully written and illustrated. Incredible Touching Book!!!
